This policy explains what personal information Yatra's Cooking Cave collects when you use yatrascookingcave.in, why we collect it, and how we protect it. We follow the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. What we collect

• Account details: your name, mobile number and, if you give it, your email address.
• Delivery details: your delivery addresses, landmark, delivery instructions, and the map location of your address so we can check delivery and work out the delivery charge.
• Orders and meal plans: what you order, when, the amounts, meal-plan dates, skips and deposit records.
• Payments: the payment reference and status. Card, UPI and bank details are entered on our payment partner's secure page; we never see or store them.
• Your consent: the date, time, terms version and IP address when you accept our Terms.
• Technical information: basic information your browser sends, such as device type and IP address, used to keep the website secure and working.

We do not collect Aadhaar, PAN, biometric data or similar identity documents, and the website cannot read the messages on your phone.

2. How we use it

• To create your account and sign you in with a one-time code.
• To take, cook, deliver and support your orders and meal plans.
• To send you order and meal-plan updates on WhatsApp, and by SMS or email when needed.
• To process payments and refunds, and to keep the accounting and tax records the law requires.
• To prevent fraud and misuse, and to improve our food and service.
• To send offers or promotions, only if you agree. You can stop these at any time.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share only what is needed to run our service, with:

• Razorpay, on behalf of Axis Bank — to process payments and refunds.
• Our WhatsApp Business API provider — to send your login codes and order updates on WhatsApp.
• Google Maps — to find your address and measure delivery distance.
• Our website hosting, database and email service providers — to run the website and store data securely.
• Our own delivery staff — your name, phone number and address, to deliver your order.
• Government or legal authorities — only when the law requires it.

These partners may only use your information to provide their service to us.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar storage in your browser to keep you signed in, remember your cart and your language choice. Blocking them may stop parts of the website from working.

5. How we protect it

Your data is stored on secure servers with restricted access. Only authorised staff can see it, and only what they need for their work. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable care and act quickly if something goes wrong.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information while you have an account or an active order or meal plan. Order, payment and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require. After that, we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

• show you the personal information we hold about you;
• correct or update it;
• delete it — except records we must keep by law;
• stop sending you promotions, or withdraw a consent you gave.

Write to the Grievance Officer below. We may need to confirm your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

8. Children

Our website is for people aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
